Listing Information

We are very proud to present our current auction. This time around, we’re offering many antiques and unusual finds from various estates in Beaver County. There are so many unique items, it’s hard to single out just a few, but we’ll do our best. We have a Peace Silver Dollar money clip from Las Vegas, an amazing antique cabinet/secretary desk from an estate in Freedom, a beautiful Simon and Halbig bisque doll and an autographed Leroy Neiman print signed by Joe Namath himself! It would be silly if it were signed by anyone else considering the print is of Joe. Pick up will be in our Beaver Falls location. As always, we will have staff on hand to assist you, but we do recommend that you bring extra help for any large or cumbersome pieces. Thanks as always for bidding with us. Description This older Marlboro clock was probably used in a convenience store.  The side without the clock lights up.  Clock and light are in good working order.
This metal advertising sign is not a reproduction. It is a vintage Marlboro sign that would have hung in a convenience or grocery  store.  The sign depicts a cowboy on a horse. He is, of course, enjoying a Marlboro (the cowboy, not the horse). Sign is in great shape.
This pretty pair of salt and pepper shakers are made by Rogers.  They are plate and not solid sterling.  The 1881 on the bottom is most likely a pattern number or something similar.  Both shakers are in great shape.
Small vintage ladies change purse.  Though the piece is vintage and beaded, not one bead appears to be missing or loose.  The piece is in excellent condition especially considering its age.
Nice champagne colored small beaded purse.  This piece is also vintage and all of the beads appear to be intact.
This gorgeous brown leather handbag appears to have never been used.  It has a button closure and a floral imprint over the closure flap.  There is a short handle on the top of the handbag.  The handle is not long enough to be used as a shoulder strap.
We love this piece!  It is most definitely a ladies purse, but it has a very interesting shape and it appears to be almost chain mail.   It would make a lovely addition to a Victorian style costume or even a Renaissance era ensemble. You could always use it for a night out on the town as well, but we're imaginative here. We are certain the box it comes in is not the original box.
This piece is extremely interesting.  It is a progress chart from American Bridge which shows work being completed on a Navy vessel.  The piece is not dated, however, we are certain it is not contemporary.
This book was produced as a commemorative piece after World War I.  It is a short pictorial history of the war which includes photos of ships, maps, historical figures and the like.  This particular book was given as a gift to someone affiliated with the VFW in Rochester, PA. Considering its age, the book is in very good condition.
This piece is pretty unique.  It is a fairly comprehensive course in penmanship by a company called Spencer and Rice.  This company produced many different penmanship courses in the 1800's.  This particular course is business penmanship. It includes various cards with explanations and exercises to improve penmanship.
We've never seen a glass medical syringe like this one.  It has a cobalt blue glass plunger with a threaded end.  The piece is in excellent condition especially considering its age.  It comes in a wooden box marked Atkinson and Hughes Manufacturing Opticians 705 Liberty Ave. Pittsburg, PA.  The only information we could find about Atkinson and Hughes is that they went out of business in 1911.
This grooming set appears to be complete. It comes in a roll up type case lined in a purple satin type material.  We would recommend using it as a decorative or display piece only.
Included in this lot are a daguerreotype photo of a man in a very nice case and one copper printing block photo of a young girl.  Both pieces are in excellent condition considering their ages.
One pair of antique glasses.  The glasses are in good condition and sort of resemble Harry Potter glasses.  Unfortunately, there are no markings to indicate a maker.  Lot also includes an antique eyeglass case.
Included in this lot are two vintage mechanical pencils and one fountain pen.  The pencils are those great sturdy metal ones which we think can be refilled. Both were advertising pieces for Freedom gasoline and oil.  The fountain pen appears to be missing some pieces.  It comes with the original box.
These antique sunglasses are really something to see!  They have fold out side lenses which are also tinted, fold out stems for easier storage and tinted rectangular front lenses.  Also included is the original case.
This vintage pocket watch is an Ingersoll Radiolite.  The watch is currently not working and it is missing the glass which covers the face.  The overall condition of the case and the watch face is good.
This adorable little clock was made by the Keebler Clock Company of Philadelphia.  The clock appears to be Syroco wood and has a bulldog on the top and two kittens on a seesaw below (at the six O'clock position).  This mini cuckoo clock comes with weights, pendulum and key.  It is not currently working.  We attempted to gently wind the clock, however, due to fear of causing damage, no further adjustments were made.  The clock comes in what appears to be the original box.
Very nice vintage slop jar by Whitestone Enamel Ware.  Thought it looks like a soup pot, we assure you it isn't.  We advise that this piece not be used for cooking.  If you don't know quite what a slop jar is, we'll give you this hint, this piece would be nice in a rustic bathroom.
This vintage Whitman's tin chocolate box is from the 1920's and is done in an Art Nouveau style.  Research indicates that the original artists was Alphonse Mucha.  The piece features a mosaic style picture of Salmagundi.  It is showing signs of wear as shown in the photos.
This beautiful Art Deco tin is by Canco.  The piece originated around the 1920's.  It is in good vintage shape.  These tins are highly collectible.
Two small framed fashion prints.  Both are marked La Mode Illustree.  Both pieces are in great condition.
Lot includes 11 assorted vintage canning jars.  Nine of the jars are vintage blue Ball Mason, one is Atlas, one bears no marks.  Lot also includes various lids which are not pictured.  Some of the lids fit the jars included, some do not.
Eight vintage jelly jars.  These jars would have had a metal pry off lids.  The lids are long gone, but the jars are all in great shape.
14 piece Luster Ware snack sets.  Lot includes seven each cups and sandwich plates.  These are done in a blue and orange color scheme with white floral accents.  The bottoms are marked simply "Made in Japan."  All pieces are in great condition.
Included are two pieces of vintage Luster Ware.  Both pieces are in great shape with beautiful colors.  Please take note of the small chips located on the base of the creamer.
Very nice vintage aluminum milk jug by Comet Metals.  The piece is approximately 8 inches tall and includes a handled lid and metal carrying handle.  There are some minor scratches on the piece due to age.
Lot includes ten assorted vintage drinking glasses.  Eight of the glasses have various images painted on them. The remaining two are orange glass.  All are in great condition.
This gorgeous luster ware vase is marked Victoria Czecho-Slovakia.  It's got a very nice opalescent sheen to it.  The piece is in great condition with only minor defects as noted in the photos.
This piece is an antique waffle iron. Prior to the electric models which are the norm today, waffles were made on the stove top.  This iron is designed to be placed on a burner and turned (very carefully) by hand.  It is solid and in great condition.
This vintage hoosier cabinet still has the original flower sifter attached.  It has plenty of drawers and doors for storage.  The glass pane on the front door is original and in great shape.  The piece does have some flaws as noted in the photos.
This vintage Telechron clock is housed in a lucite case.  Though it is most likely a 1950's clock, it has the look of an Art Deco piece.  The piece is electric and wired for US electric outlets.  It is currently not in working condition, however, it could be a nice fix it project.
Beautiful lucite clock by Seth Thomas.  This particular model has a marbelized case with brass feet.  The clock case is most likely bakelite done in a marble pattern.  This is not an electric clock, it is a wind up variety.  The clock is not in working condition.
This sage green Royal Haeger vase is approximately 9 inches tall.  It's done in  a more Mid-Century style and is in very good condition. There is some damage to the bottom of the piece as shown in the photos, however, it is on the underside and not visible when the piece is sitting upright.
Two pieces of vintage glassware.  The yellow flower pot is market Morton.  The floral motif pot does not have markings.  Both do have evident crazing, however, we did not note any chips or cracks.
This vintage bowl has a floral motif around the edge and is marked HLCO on the bottom.  Research indicates this is Homer Laughlin China Company.  It is done in a lighter turquoise shade,  The piece is in very good condition.
Both pieces in this set are silver plate.  The creamer and sugar are in very good condition
Three floral themed plates by Homer Laughlin.  These plates do have some crazing due to age.  Please see photos for imperfections.
This silver dollar money clip is marked Sterling.  The coin is also silver and is attached to the clip.  The back side of the clip is marked Las Vegas.  It's an interesting little piece for a collector of Las Vegas memorabilia or a money clip collector.
Fourteen piece teacup set.  Lot includes four assorted teacups with matching saucers and two teacups each with a matching saucer and cake plate.  All are in great shape.
Lot includes six teacups and coordinating saucers.  These pieces are assorted styles and designs.  All are in great shape.
Included are six teacups with coordinating saucers.  All are in various floral themes.  All are in great shape.
Lot includes 6 teacups and matching saucers.  Though each teacup comes with a matching saucer, these are not a matched set.  All are done in a floral theme.
These beautiful milk glass shades originally went with gas lights.  They are in amazing shape and include the original chains.  The consignor states that they were used in her home prior to electricity becoming available.
These three pieces are an assembly for an old gas light.  The shade is clear glass as is the chimney.  The mantle is what we call new old stock.  It is new in the box, but it is not brand new.
Included are two gas light covers in frosted glass with a floral motif etched on them.  Please see photos for slight imperfections.
This lusterware tea set is so tiny!  It was designed for a child and we assume it was brought back after World War II when these things were very popular.  It is gorgeous and comes complete with the original box.
This vintage sewing basket is marked Vagen.  It is an orangish pink color with black accents and floral appliques.  It has plenty of room for all sewing supplies and is in very good condition.
Black and white Mid-Century dish marked Gilmer Calif.  The piece is very nice with a brass look base.  It is in very good condition.
Pair of heavy ceramic bookends.  These resemble wood and are in great condition.
This gorgeous vintage hand mirror is monogrammed.  The oval frame is heavy plastic.  There are no signs of damage on the mirror face.
This dark wood sewing basket would be perfect for a repurposing project!  It does have some damage as evident in the photos and it does not have an interior drawer, but it is nice.
Lot includes two Art Deco style vases.  The turquoise one is marked Redwing 631.  The white one bears no markings.
Lot includes one white round vase with no markings and one green vase marked Floraline.  Floraline is an offshoot of McCoy.  Both are in great condition.
This Mid-Century piece is marked Royal Haeger.  It's done in a vibrant green and is in great condition.
Lot includes thee nice pottery pieces.  None of the pieces are marked.  Please see photos for imperfections.
Included are a set of spider web design dishes and one etched glass cruet with stopper.  All pieces are in excellent condition.
Included in this lot are two antique military books.  One is titled The Blue Jacket Manual United States Navy, the other, History and Rhymes of the Lost Battalion.
This gorgeous desk appears to have been hand made.  While it resembles a kitchen hutch, the drawers and doors would indicate it was a large secretary desk.  Each side has a pull out "rest" for lack of a better term so that the top hinged portion can fold out and become a writing area.  The glass doors latch.  If one looks carefully at the doors, the glass is rippled and in amazing condition.   The top comes off of the bottom to make it slightly easier to move.  Measures 86 high by 51 long y 21 1/2 wide when fully assembled.
This floral patterned love seat is in overall great condition. The home was smoke and pet free and the piece has no stains or rips.
This Broyhill china hutch is very solid.  It comes apart of easier moving. The interior has three glass shelves which come apart in twos so as not to break during cleaning.  It is in overall great condition.  Measures 73 high 43 long and 14 1/2 wide.
This light wood three shelved unit would be perfect in almost any room.  It has two bottom doors for additional storage.  The piece is not solid wood, however, it is nice and in very good condition.  Please note, items on shelves are NOT included.  Piece measures 75 1/2 high by 30 long by 20 wide.
This is a small rolling storage cart. It is most likely too short to be a microwave cart, however,it would be great for a small television or for a child's room.  It is in great condition and all of the wheels are intact and moving.
Two Mid-Century endtables by Mersman.  Both tables are in good condition and both have metal feet.  Each piece has one drawer for storage.
This Mersman table  matches the end tables in the previous lot.  It's a nice Mid-Century piece with some slight damage as noted in the pictures.
One almost new outdoor style chair. The chair has a black frame and wicker look backrest and seat.  It is in excellent condition.
This coffee table was hand made.  It features a beautiful glossy top in a parquet style.  The legs are also hand done in a turned style. This table sits much lower to the ground than a standard coffee table.  It is in excellent condition.
This table is a vintage style drop leaf design.  The drop leaves are held in place by wooden rods which slide out on the underside.  The table has a latch on the underside as well to prevent it from sliding apart during moves.  It includes two additional leaves and two matching chairs.  Please see photos for imperfections.
Small white wall mounted medicine cabinet.  This piece is in excellent condition and was never used.  It has one shelf on the inside for storage.
Dark wood dresser with lots of drawers for storage!  This piece has four small drawers suitable for socks and other small items along the top and six larger drawers on the bottom.  The piece is heavy and wide.  It is in very good condition with no deep scratches or marks.
Though this dark wood dry sink/night stand is not by the same maker as the previous dresser, they are close enough in color to be used in the same room.  This piece has one drawer on the top and two doors on the bottom for additional storage.  It is marked Ethan Allen on the inside.
This beautiful cedar chest was manufactured by Caswell Runyan.  It still has the original paper tag on the inside!  We're pretty positive the $100 moth guarantee is void at this point, however, the piece is still solid and seals as it did when it was brand new.  Caswell  Runyan was the first company to produce commercially available cedar chests.
This vintage ashtray is in the Kitchel pattern by Vohann of California.  The base color is a dark brown with colorful crackle glass accents in a diamond pattern.  The piece is definitely Mid-Century.    If you're a nonsmoker, this piece could still be used as a change dish, key bowl or even a candy dish.  It would also make a nice craft project. There is one minor chip on the underside which is not visible when the piece is upright.  Please see photos.
Hull vase in pattern 121.  This one is in shades of green and yellow which is accurate considering this style is a clover shape.  We noticed no chips or marks in the piece at all.
This Fenton fairly light is uranium glass.  It depicts and owl and is in excellent condition.  The piece glows beautifully when placed under a UV light.  Uranium glass will not glow under normal lighting, only UV.
This pottery jug was hand painted at some point.  The paint is peeling in several spots and beneath, it you can see a blue striped band around the top of the piece.  We chose to leave the jug in the state in which we found it, however, you could remove the paint.  We noted no issues with the piece, however, there may be some which are covered by the paint.
This eight piece nut dish set features the iconic Mr. Peanut.  Lot includes one large nut dish for serving and seven smaller dishes for individual guests.  The pieces are in overall good condition.  One small dish does have signs of wear as shown in the photos.
This little wall shelf has a country look to it.  It has heart shapes in the back and three small shelves.  The piece is in good condition and is suitable for small objects.
Wooden wall shelf with six staggered small shelves.  This piece has a heart motif along the top.
This autographed print is signed by both Joe Namath and artist Leroy Neiman.  It is nicely framed and measuers 34X31 in the frame.  The piece is personalized to somebody named Keith.  There is no damage on the print that we noted.
This piece is extremely long.  It's roughly 8 feet long to be exact.  The piece is interesting in that it outlines the process for making coke (the coal byproduct, not the soft drink).  The piece came from the Sparrows Point Plant of Bethlehem Steel.  It is in excellent condition and would be a great gift for any steel worker or science teacher on your gift list!
This pie plate is from Jeanette Glass.  It has a winter and sleigh theme and is oven and microwave safe.   No cracks or chips were noted.
These two brightly colored Pyrex Ovenware bowls were most likely part of a larger set.  They are both in great condition with no chips or cracks noted.  The color on both is still vibrant.
This tiny teapot and creamer are by Shenango China.  The teapot and lid are in excellent condition as is the creamer.  All of the pieces are done in a cobalt blue color.  Please note what looks like chips on the teapot are actually reflections from the light there were no chips cracks  or other flaws noted.
Small dark green hand painted vase.  The piece has a ruffled edge like many Fenton pieces however the pontil on the bottom indicates it was hand blown and not Fenton.   The piece has hand painted flowers on the front.  It is in excellent condition.
This five piece set of pink depression glass is most likely Jeanette.  The creamer is done in what is called the Sierra Pinwheel pattern.  The four tiny glasses are not of the same pattern, however, the color is an exact match.  No chips, cracks or other flaws were noted.
This piece caused a bit of a debate when it came in!   After much discussion, it was identified as a table butler.  Essentially this piece was used by a hostess to empty ashtrays during dinner parties.  The flip up top would be well, flipped up, and the ash trays emptied neatly into the receptacle.  This particular one was never used.  Though they have fallen out of favor as a practical item, this one is painted in a lovely pattern that would make it a nice decorative piece.
This little hand mirror actually contains two mirrors.  It can be hung on a wall or a vanity rather than carried.  The outside case has a nice vintage look to it.  The piece is in excellent condition with no scratches or nicks noted.
This compote is a contemporary piece.  It is done in a dark yellow and black swirl design and has no chips or cracks.
Very nice vintage Harkers Hotoven bowl.  The pattern is Apples and Pears and research suggests the bowl is from the 1930's.  There were not cracks fractures or chips noted.
This vintage Knowles mixing bowl most likely originated in the 1940's.  It has a fruit motif on the front and some discoloration on the inside as shown in the photos.  The piece would make a nice decorative accent in a country or primitive decorated kitchen.  Of course, it could still be used as a mixing bowl.  Discoloration is the only flaw noted.
Two pottery bowls.  One bowl is white with no accents, the other is white with pink and blue stripes around the top.  The white bowl does have minor hairline cracks as noted in the photos, the bowl with pink and blue trim doesn't appear to have any stress cracks or other issues.
This vintage four drawer dresser is absolutely beautiful!  The hardware is gold tone with a 1930's look.  The bottom two drawers are deeper than the rest for storage of bulkier items.
This vintage three drawer dresser matches the dresser in the previous lot.  It includes an attachable mirror which we removed for  safety.  The hardware to attach the mirror is included.
Large upholstered couch in neutral tones.  The cushions are overstuffed and attach to the back with velcro.  There is some minor damage on the arms as shown in the photos. Please note, this couch comes from a smoking home.  We have treated it, however, there may be some residual odor.
This chrome Mid Century chair is in great condition.  The wheeled casters on each leg move freely and are also in great condition.  The chair is sturdy and pretty awesome.
Eight drawer vintage look desk.  The desk appears to have nine drawers, however, the right bottom drawer is extra large.  The sides and front have been painted white the top is still original.
Small dark wood stand with drawer.  This piece has a primitive/folk art look to it.  It has a wooden latch on the front to keep the door closed and one interior shelf for storage.  The piece would make a nice lamp stand or small night stand.
This vintage office style chair is in great condition considering its age.  The seat is upholstered in a dark brown fabric to match the dark brown woodwork on the piece.
This small table or stand would be great in a hall or other small space.  It's a half round table with turned legs which was at some point painted white.  It could easily be repainted or stripped and refinished.  The piece is in overall good condition.
Five piece wooden TV tray set.  Included are four collapsible TV trays and one wooden stand.  The pieces are all in very good condition.
We're calling this console stereo furniture because these pieces were designed to be both an electronic device and a piece of furniture.  This particular model is a Magnavox Astro Sonic console stereo and radio.  The case in done in a lighter wood with a Mid Century look. The hardware is original to the piece.  Please note, this model is a record player and AM/FM radio only.  Also includes two spare needles for the record player and original literature.
This Mammy cookie jar was made by International Silver Company probably in the late 1940's or early 1950's.  That would place the piece as Mid Century rather than antique.  She's in good condition considering her age, there is some crazing on the inside of the jar, however, no chips or cracks were noted.
This wooden end table is in an Arts and Crafts style.  It's a nice sturdy piece, though not heavy solid wood.  Please see photos for imperfections.
Light wood end table.  Though this piece is visually similar to the end table in the previous lot, they do not match.
This gorgeous Simon and Halbig doll stands nearly two feet tall.  She has sleepy eyes, porcelain teeth and a bisque face.  Though she is over 100 years old, her face is still as beautiful and without flaw as it was when she was new.  Her hair may be human, of that we are unsure.  She is marked Simon and Halbig on her neck.  The dress is most likely not original.  Her original owner was a talented seamstress who no doubt made many lovely outfits for her.  Her body is porcelain.  She has no flaws we noticed despite her age.
