GETTING TO KNOW US

It has been a long-time passion of Willis and Leroy Yoder as siblings growing up to become auctioneers. As they have spent the majority of their younger years involved in agriculture and they grew up on a dairy farm and attending auctions in Michigan. They spent long hours on the plow practicing their chant, increasing the bid every time they passed down the fence post. It was also common hearing the auction chant echoing from inside the silo at chore time or in the shower. They were no strangers to hard work. As they followed thier dream it became a reality.

The two formed Yoder Brothers Auctions and have been successfully involved in conducting over 700 auctions and began hosting nearly every kind of auction including real estate, farm equipment, estates, livestock, antiques, government auctions and firearm collections.

AUCTION STORY

Through the years I have had many interesting auctions experiences. I once received a call from a fellow that said he inherited his 96 year old bachelor neighbors’ estate. The bachelor was still cooking on an old wood kitchen stove and never threw anything away. The fellow said he sorted through and took some of the items he wanted and was planning on putting the rest in dumpsters, but it would cost him $1,200.00 to $1,500.00 in dumpster fees. His friend told him to call me as he thought there might be enough for an auction. We ended up having an auction for him. After seeing the auction total of a little over $23,000.00, the seller sure was glad he didn’t choose the dumpster route.

From Real Estate to the pots and pans Yoder Bros Auction does it all form start to finish.
