Two Day Newman Estate
Auctioneers Note: Dave Newman passed away 2 years ago. He had a passion for collecting, attending antique shows, auctions,
ea markets, and buying entire collections. The items being sold most he intended to always keep. This auction is made up of the
items not related to musical instruments mostly, but quality antiques and collectibles. He was a 1975 graduate of Winchester High
and attended John Wood Community College's watch making program in Quincy. He and Anita owned and operated Dave's
Music and Newman's Jewelry in Jacksonville and later in Winchester. He loved the Winchester community, serving on the
Winchester City Council for six years and two terms as mayor. Active in the Community Band, Chamber of Commerce, Cub Scouts
Pinewood Derby, Library and Pool Board, he was the sound man for area events from the 4-H fair, school concerts, church events,
weddings, and parties. He was an active member of the Winchester United Methodist Church, Pioneer Lodge 70 IOOF in
Winchester, and Illini 4 IOOF in Jacksonville. He enjoyed auctions and sales. He loved his family, cooking out with friends and
reworks.
