- Preview: We are adding in an additional preview on Friday, March 8th from 3PM to 5PM ONLY at 15266 Gilchrist Rd, Mt. Vernon, OH.
Prepare for an unforgettable 2-day auction, accessible both in-person and online, showcasing a wide array of exceptional items. Our catalog features everything from low mileage vehicles, motorcycles, boats, and trailers to a Case International Harvester 4230 tractor with a front-end loader. We're also presenting a variety of gun parts, ammunition, taxidermy, archery items, knives, sportsman's gear, household essentials, artwork, designer cowboy boots, rototillers, snowmobiles, salt spreaders, box blades, and a Kubota commercial riding mower. Designed with collectors and enthusiasts in mind, this event offers a plethora of unique items. To facilitate your planning, we've split the auction into two distinct listings, each with overview photos to guide you through what's available each day.
The live portion kicks off at 10 AM, with online bidding for selected high-value items beginning at 12 Noon Eastern Standard Time on March 9th. Anticipating a broad spectrum of offerings, we're planning for two auction rings to ensure a dynamic and engaging experience. We've arranged for ample parking, robust security measures, portable toilets, and an assortment of food vendors to make your visit as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Given the expected turnout, we recommend securing your accommodation well in advance.
The gates will open at 8AM on Saturday, March 9th and vehicles/boats/big ticket items will be offered at Noon so that you have additional time to check them out.
- Payment and Buyer's Premium: Transactions for general items can be made with cash or Visa/MasterCard, whereas high-value "big ticket" items such as vehicles, boats, trailers, and tractors will require payment through cash or wire transfer. A 10% buyer's premium will be applied to all purchases, with the Knox County Probate Court having the final say on title transfer approvals. Bring your check book with you if you are not paying in cash for the big ticket items - if you are the successful bidder, you will write a check for the full amount and then wire transfer the funds over on Monday. Once the funds have been received and verified, you can come pick up your big ticket item(s) and your check will be given back to you at that time. For the avoidance of doubt, we do not accept checks for general purchases - those will require cash or Visa/Mastercard.
- Item Descriptions and Conditions: Please note that all items are sold "As Is, Where Is," with no warranties or guarantees regarding their year, make, model, mileage, hours, or overall condition. It's incumbent upon bidders to inspect items personally to fully assess their value. While we aim to provide accurate descriptions, please be aware that any statements made by our staff are based on their best judgment and are not to be taken as fact. Any announcements made on auction day will override any prior descriptions or statements.
This auction will serve to settle the estates of Saundra J Wilhelm (Knox County Probate #E20231026), Randy A. Wilhelm (Knox County Probate #E20221308), and Bradley L. Wilhelm (Knox County Probate #E20221309).
- Online Bidding Information: Be assured that maximum bids will escalate only in response to other bids, up to your set limit, and in pre-set increments, ensuring a fair and competitive bidding process.
- Bidder Responsibilities: We remind you to keep your login details private, comply with all relevant laws when using our platform, and understand that registering with a credit card authorizes Hoffman Auctions to process payment in full if not settled within three business days post-auction. By participating, you accept the items "As Is, Where Is" and acknowledge the necessity of personal inspection prior to bidding. Additionally, you agree not to contest charges for auction purchases, regardless of the payment method used.
- Load-Out: Please arrange for your own loading help and transportation as we do not offer loading services. Remember to bring the necessary equipment and materials needed for the safe removal of your items.
We're excited to offer this rich auction experience and urge you to book your accommodations early to avoid any inconvenience. For further details or inquiries, please reach out to Auctioneer Michael Hoffman at (614) 314-0298 or visit our website at www.HoffmanAuctions.com.
