Join us for the Michigan Auctioneer Championship, Michigan Ringman Championship and MAA Benefit Auction! The Michigan Auctioneers Association (MAA) will host this great event that showcases some of the best auctioneers in Michigan’s Auction Industry!

The general public and media are also invited to attend the Michigan Auctioneer Championship, Ringman Championship & Fun Auction! The event will be held on Thursday, February 1 from 7:30 to approx. 10:00 p.m. (Limited Seating).

Men and Women will compete to find out who is the Best of the Best! The Top Auctioneer will become the Michigan Auctioneer Champion and will compete at the International Auctioneer Championship in Columbus, Ohio in July.

This event will feature many great items for auction as well as some great entertainment showcasing the best auctioneers and ringmen in the industry! This Auction Event is Open to the Public!

Attend the Auction, watch the competition, cheer for your favorite, and buy some great items! You can also visit our large trade show this evening! Several Exhibitors are already registered for this event!

This event is held in conjunction with the MAA’s Annual Conference featuring some of the top Auction Industry speakers in the nation. “Many do not realize that auctions are one of the oldest professions in history. They date back to the Pilgrim’s arrival on America’s Eastern Shores in the 1600s.” said Michigan Auctioneers Association Executive Director, Tricia Wiltjer. “Our auctioneer and ringman competitions are open to the general public and free to attend. It’s good old fashioned fun with modern flair for the whole family.”


Join us for the most exciting part of the MAA’s Annual Conference! The Michigan Auctioneer Championship is the biggest and best competition in Michigan where Auctioneers gather to show off their bid calling skills and compete in a friendly competition with their peers. Contestants will compete in the preliminary round by auctioning two items. The top competitors who proceed to the finals will not only auction more specialty items, but they will go through an interview portion. At the end of the evening, the 2018 Michigan Auctioneer Champion will be announced!

We are counting on YOU, the Membership of the MAA, to supply this FUN!  Also, get your Local Newspapers to donate advertising space (the size you use).  Guarantee them that they will bring face value (be sure to bid them to face value even if you have to raise your own bid).  WIN – WIN – the local newspaper gets a chance to help out at our organization while getting exposure to the entire state association.  It doesn’t cost you any more than it would have anyway.  Tell your newspaper to send you coverage area maps for promotion.

A successful Benefit Auction helps the Association keep costs down for all members including Membership rates and Convention Registration Rates. Any and all donations help.
