W. Wachter Auctions & Associates is following all precautionary measures, for everyone's safety. Please continue to be patient - as we are learning, each day, how to manage everything in a trouble free manner. Please also be aware that amendments to these terms, and how we are operating under these circumstances, is subject to change at any time. Be assured, we will post any changes to our websites and social media. Bidding online is easy and can be done remotely from your computer or phone! Those of you who are not comfortable with the online bidding, please visit our website ( for an online bidding turtorial) AUCTION TERMS & CONDITIONS There will be a 20% Buyers Premium charged on top of the hammer price. The state of Maryland requires us to collect 6% sales tax. We only accept Maryland tax exemption numbers for purchases over $200. No Out of State tax exemptions numbers will be accepted, as under MD law. (Unless an accurately completed Maryland Resale Tax Exemption Form is submitted). Items with more than Quantity of 1, are TIMES THE MONEY. Every item being sold "As Is Where Is" with no guarantee of any kind. All Sales are final. IN PERSON PREVIEW TIME WILL BE: No in person preview Due to the current limitations set forth in Executive Order from Government: These terms are subject to change. We have done our best to catalog the inventory being presented here. We do not assume any responsibility for items described incorrectly. This Catalog is a guide and a guide only. W. Wachter Auctions does not assume any responsibility for technical issues on our end or on the bidders end. Additional Terms and Conditions: Before a bid can be placed, all Bidders must first complete the "Buyer Registration" form. All submitted information must be accurate and current, and it is the duty of the Bidder to keep his or her information updated whenever necessary. There will be an 20% BP charged on top of the hammer price and MD State & Local Taxes will be added where applicable. Upon registration, the Bidder warrants that they are of legal age in their country and have read and understood all of the following terms and conditions listed above and below, which apply to all auctions conducted by us and any Bidders/Buyers in said auctions. All sales are final. All items are sold "as is-where is" with all faults and blemishes and no warranty expressed or implied. Bidders are encouraged to preview and inspect all items. It is bidder's responsibility to determine condition, value, usefulness, functionality, authenticity, and all other factors. W. Wachter Auctions & Associates is not responsible for errors of description. Bidder, including internet bidder, shall be the sole judge of value. PRIVACY POLICY We reserve the right to: cancel bids and/or restrict the use of our site; refuse service to anyone at any time; add or remove items at any point in the auction; revise descriptions of the items if a change needs to be made; ban users for violating our terms and conditions; hold items until the payment has been cleared; withdraw any item and to re-offer the item at another time; resell any items that have not been paid in full by the payment deadline. We are not responsible for the misinterpretation or misunderstanding of items and/or descriptions, if any, by the bidder; it is the bidder''s responsibility to understand the item thoroughly before bidding. In any cases of dispute, our decision is final. All legal matters will be settled as per Maryland State law and the Bidder/Buyer consents that the venue be located in Carroll County Maryland . All items are sold on an AS IS, WHERE IS basis, with all faults. We make every effort to represent all items clearly and accurately in photographs and descriptions and will indicate any major defects on an item when it is know by us.Some items may have a Reserve. In this case, items with a Reserve cannot be won until a bid has reached the Reserve price. These items will be clearly marked and identified. In the event that a picture and description do not match, the description takes precedence. If we are prevented by fire, theft, or any other reason whatsoever from delivering and/or shipping items to the Buyer, our liability shall only be limited to the sum that was paid. SOFT CLOSE POLICY (Where applicable-INTERNET ONLY AUCTION. Does not apply to Live w/Internet Bidding) In the event that a bid is placed on an item in the final minutes of an auction sale, the auction will automatically be extended for an additional 3 minutes to prevent 'auction sniping'. The extension will continue until all the bids have stopped. CONDITION OF ITEMS We accept consignments as they are given to us. We assume that box contents are what is listed on the box. We make no guarantees that lots are described in perfect accuracy, We take every effort to accurately describe all items offered in its sales, We do not provide warranty for labor and craftsmanship on jewelry and watches. We have knowledgeable staff to provide as accurate description as possible using the knowledge of our staff. ** Returns are not accepted; ALL SALES ARE FINAL. By placing a bid, the bidder/buyer has signified that the description of the item(s) in question is satisfactory and will not be entitled to make any objections after the sale. SALES TAX out of state online bidders are not subject to any tax in Maryland . PAYMENT AND INVOICING We will email your preliminary invoice the day following the auction end. Once payment has been received, we will begin shipping your purchase. We are working on expanding our payment capabilities. In an addition to VISA, MC & DISCOVER, we are adding PAYPAL. Stay tuned for more options, as they are added. METHOD TO RECEIVE YOUR PURCHASES: *SHIPPING* Shipping Fee Applies! We are using USPS Flat rate boxes as our default shiiping method. If your purchases do not fit into a flat rate box, we will have to charge by weight/dimension of your box (using the USPS website for rate costs). We will prioritize which invoices to work through shipping on, by payment received. You will be charged for your bid/premium/tax total first. Then once your shipping fee has been calculated, we will make a second charge to your credit card, for the shipping rate. *DELIVERY* $8.00 Additional Fee We have decided to try offering scheduled deliveries to customers, withing a limited distance. Once we have enough paid customers who choose this option, we will schedule a day to drop items off to your location. We offer this service to those within a 10 mile radius from our location in Sykesville, MD. We can also offer it within a 10 mile radius of Ellicott City, MD. We will do a "No-Contact Delivery." This means we will leave your paid purchase on your doorstep, or in your driveway. It will be the responsibility of the Buyer to bring the item(s) inside.
