1981 Cessna A185F project with Float Kit, damaged in a rollover on tundra. This is a project and needs sheet metal/structural repair to fuselage, wings, vertical, ailerons and tail feathers. Atlee Dodge floatplane engine mount, BAS shoulder harness kit, Robertson STOL kit, long range fuel tanks, retractable handling tube on Fuselage. NO GEAR, has stinger. NO FLOATS, NO ENGINE OR PROP. Engine was a IO-520-D, not included. NO Avionics
Missing seats but they are standard Cessna seats, that are the same as other models. Aircraft was kept inside most of the time since accident but then sat outside in the desert for several years. No known corrosion. It DID NOT sit in the wet coastal area except for the last 3 weeks. All logs from the first Factory test flight included and complete Department of Interior records included which are very detailed with airworthiness certificate and 337s for all modifications. DoI maintained this aircraft to Part135 standards with A&P mechanics. The aircraft is currently de registered but is a simple filing to re register. The N Number 85LT will not go with the aircraft so you will need to apply for your own. No N number seen on the aircraft is correct, the DoI kept their N720 and placed the current displayed N# on, we registered our N # on on it with the intent of rebuilding it, but never applied it. We will furnish a clear title to the aircraft with no liens. There have never been any liens on this aircraft.
Accident pictures are included but are about 12 years old. Any item seen in the background is not included, you are purchasing the aircraft as described above.
The seller makes no representation to the salability, marketability, use for its original intended purpose, and any part included in this auction must be inspected by a certified mechanic. Once repairs are made an annual inspection will be required by a certified A&P/IA or equivalent. SOLD AS IS WHERE IS with no warranties of any kind.
Seller will load all parts from this aircraft in our possession with a forklift or assist by hand as necessary. Seller will load and package in a container, or box van trailer at additional cost.
Some transportation may be available by open top conveyance in the continental US or Canada, at additional cost.
If inspection is desired, it is by appointment only.
