Andy Puttagio framed painting, oil on canvas, with red barn and Blue Ridge Mountains
Andy Puttagio Oil on Canvas painting, framed, total dimensions:  27.5" x 30.5", depicts red barns, Blue Ridge Mountains in the background. ANDY PUTTAGIO was born in 1946. He served in the military from 1965 to 1968. A graduate of Montclair State College liberal arts curriculum in New Jersey, he worked for AT&T from 1977 to 1999. He started painting in oils in 1974 and was primarily self-taught. After retiring from the corporate work environment, he relocated to Nelson County where he discovered an agrarian setting from which to draw inspiration and subject matter. Classic car ride for 2 in a 1912 model, T roadster or 1931 Model A Ford Victoria

Tom’s oldest (and prettiest) car is a 1912 Model T Ford Commercial Roadster.  It can carry him, and 2 passengers, one in the "mother-in-law" seat. It does not go faster than 35 MPH so he can do short jaunts in the vicinity of Veritas winery or similar a location.  For example, he could select a route from the winery up and down the Afton Road out to HWY 151 and return to the winery.  That would be about 8-10 miles or about a 20-minute session keeping away from busy traffic.  Similarly, you could schedule 5-10 trips in the Model T experience and recommend a route or start location.
His second car is a 1931 Model A Ford.  It is a 2-door Victoria, with a standard 40 HP engine.  It is only 92 years old, so the youngest when compared to the Model T.  It can carry 3 adults and Tom as the driver.  This car can negotiate highways but not freeways. This car is ideal for weddings or transporting the bride from the church to the reception or to the wedding itself. He would recommend using it within the valley.  Traveling over the Afton Mountain is difficult, especially if there are 4 passengers.  Anyone that is significantly overweight will have difficulty entering and exiting the car - just a warning as people were smaller in the 1930s.  You can use the car for a wedding or some other occasion or simply a half or full hour touring the region. For example, you may wish to take rides in the area leaving from, say Veritas, for a 20 minute or 30-minute sessions.  That would be possible, or you may wish to use the car at a wedding or birthday party, Tom is flexible and willing to consider whatever you would like to do. This is his hobby, and he enjoys sharing old time car technology with anyone who appreciates the chance to see antique car technology up close and in person.

Muddy Creek Pottery Vase, 14” tall earthenware, wood-fired vase
Noah Hughey-Commers (owner & potter) 14” tall earthenware, wood-fired vase by Muddy Creek Pottery Artist Statement: “The pots I use and love all have a story, a reason they matter. Nothing is just part of a set… When you make wood fired pottery, each piece is affected individually by the firing process, each surface reflects what happened to it in the kiln…I make pottery because I need good pots in my life, and to share that need. I use old world methods and focus. My pots are born in kitchen moments, when just the right bowl is needed and nothing else will do, but to go make it.” (Donated by Noah Hughey-Commers)

Nothing is just part of a set… When you make wood fired pottery, each piece is affected individually by the firing process, each surface reflects what happened to it in the kiln…I make pottery because I need good pots in my life, and to share that need.
