Gladys owned and operated the Dixieland Drive Inn in Chesapeake for 26 years before retiring to pursue volunteer work. She has volunteered in the Maryview Gift Shop, Deep Creek United Methodist Church Food Panty, and Delivering for Meals on Wheels.

Pickup: Friday, July 28, 2023 from 2-5pm in Chesapeake, VA 23323 (Full Address will be provided to winning bidders on invoice) 

THERE WILL BE NO SHIPPING AVAILABLE FOR THIS AUCTION.

YOU MUST BRING ALL THE NECESSARY ITEMS NEEDED FOR REMOVAL. For example- BOXES, PAPER TO WRAP ITEMS, SCREWDRIVERS, FLASHLIGHTS, DOLLIES, FURNITURE CARTS, STRAPS AND WHATEVER ELSE IS NEEDED TO REMOVE ITEMS.

IF YOU BUY LARGER ITEMS OR ANY FURNITURE- YOU MUST BRING HELP WITH YOU TO REMOVE ITEMS- THERE WILL NOT BE ANYONE ON SITE TO HELP YOU REMOVE FURNITURE.  

TERMS & CONDITION FOR THIS AUCTION All Merchandise is sold ‘’as is, where is" without warranty or guarantee, expressed or implied. ALL SALES ARE FINAL, NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES. 

Bidding: You must be registered to place a bid on an item. By registering and bidding, you agree that you have read and understand all terms and conditions that apply to the auction and by bidding you are entering into a binding contract. PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO PICK UP ITEMS, ANY ITEMS NOT PICKED UP ON  SCHEDULED AUCTION PICKUP WILL BE DEEMED ABANDONED. This is an ONLINE ONLY AUCTION, bidding will begin closing at a rate of 1 lot per 20 seconds with a one minute auto-extend. This means that if a bid is placed within one minute of auction closing for an item, the item will auto extend for 1 minute until no more bids are placed within the last minute. 

Payment: A 15% Buyer's Premium will be added to each purchase, regardless of payment method. A $1.00 authorization hold will be used to verify a credit card, the hold will be released once credit card is verified. Payment is due immediately at the conclusion of the auction. NO CHARGE-BACKS 

Preview: We encourage all bidders to attend preview to inspect items to satisfy condition of items and bid accordingly. Please call Raina @ 757-394-4229 to schedule preview appointment.  

Technology Disruptions: Auctioneer will not be responsible for technology disruptions, errors, or failures (including disruptions to bidding or the failure to execute, recognize, or record online bids), whether caused by (i) loss of connectivity, breakdown, disruption, or failure of the Online Auction Platform, (ii) breakdown, disruption, or failure of a Bidder's internet connection, computer, or system, or (iii) otherwise. Auctioneer may, but will not be required to continue, suspend, delay, extend, reschedule, or close the Auction because of disruptions caused by technology failures, even after bidding has commenced. 

Sales Tax- Virginia Sales Tax will be charged on all items unless the Bidder provides a valid sales tax exemption form. Bidders who wish to claim a sales tax exemption MUST provide a copy of ST-10 Tax- Exemption Certificate PRIOR to placing any bids. Copy of ST-10 can be emailed to Raina@rvasauction.com

Pickup: All items must be picked up during scheduled pick up times, Any items not picked up during the designated pick up times will be deemed abandoned and will revert back to us with no refunds. Please bring paid sales receipt to pick up items. No Merchandise will be removed from auction site without payment.
