“Blue Ball Pa was founded in 1766, located at the crossroads of Rt 23 and 322. Robert Wallace built the first Hotel and erected a large copper ball on a signpost and painted it blue. The Native American Indians called the town Blue Google, meaning “gurgling waters”.”

“Town Hall Restaurant opened in 1955, was originally operated by Leon Lease ( AKA "Shady") as a sandwich shop for the Blue Ball firefighters, and taken over by Roy and Ginny Hummer in 1964.” Town Hall Restaurant has been a local and nationwide icon of Mid Century and Classic Diners and has been the “first job” and home for 100’s of many generations of the town’s young people as well as seasoned veterans of the restaurant hospitality professionals. Many celebrities and business leaders have visited Town Hall including Darryl Strawberry and Mike Rowe. After almost 60 years of single family ownership, and MILLIONS of Home Cooked Meals, the current proprietor Alan Hummer has decided to retire and shutter the business, giving you and many others the Golden Opportunity to purchase wonderful pieces of ‘60’s era restaurant memorabilia and vintage restaurant ware and collectibles.
