1. This is an internet ONLY auction. All bidding is done online. Lots will close approximately every 15 seconds. This auction uses a soft close, meaning items that receive a bid in the last two minutes will be open for an additional 1 minute, effectively preventing bidders from "sniping" lots.
2. No Preview will be offered for this auction.
3. All items offered and sold are done so "AS IS, WHERE IS" with any and all faults. We encourage you to inspect photos and read descriptions carefully and call with questions when we can answer them, we will.
4. All descriptions are believed to be accurate but not warranted.
5. PLEASE GIVE US 48 HOURS POST AUCTION TO GET YOUR INVOICES EMAILED OUT. Please then make payment and shipping or pick up arrangements within 48 hours of receiving your invoice. Buyer will be charged the full amount for items not picked up, and may forfeit their right and claim to the property.
6. Your bid is a binding contract and you must pay for any items you win. By placing a bid, the bidder signifies that they have examined the items to their satisfaction, or that they have chosen not to personally examine them.
7. Collector's Auction House reserves the right to reject any bid and/or bidder at our discretion without explanation.
8. Applicable taxes include PA sales tax of 6%. If you have a sales tax exemption for resale or another reason, Collector's Auction LLC needs a signed Pennsylvania Exemption Certificate (form REV-1220) on file in order to remove sales tax.
9. This auction has a 15% buyer's premium and 6% PA sales tax (no tax on coins or bullion).
10. Please bring a copy of your invoice (or at least the invoice #) with you when you come to pick-up your items. We accept cash, local Pennsylvania checks, VISA, MC, American Express & Discover cards. TO MAKE PAYMENT PLEASE CALL US WITHIN 48 HOURS POST AUCTION.
11. By bidding in this auction, you are agreeing to all of the terms herein posted for this auction.
12. There will be a $40 returned check fee for any declined check received.
13. Declined credit cards can result in a buyer being banned from participating in future auctions. Non-paying and/or fraudulent bidder names WILL be shared with other auction companies.

Fred was a life long member of the Pennsylvania Rail Road Historical Society in State College, Philadelphia, Camp Hill & Altoona PA. and also was a member of TCA Train Collectors Association. Mr. Shaefer loved the fact that he lived in Altoona, Pennsylvania with all of the storied history of trains in Altoona. Such as the famous Horse Shoe Curve. Mr. Shaefer's train collection is one of the finest collections ever offered for sale. Comprised of some of the rarest and finest trains & accessories ever offered in recent times, that you have the chance to add to your collection this month!
