There aren't many of these in circulation since not very many were even made. This guitar was seemingly played and well loved, likely by a rhythm rocker from what I can tell by the wear. The finish is outstanding with minimal blemishes. There is a bit of buckle rash which only adds to this guitar's story. All the chrome is shiny and polished like it just rolled out of the factory. The fretboard is in great condition and frets have minimal wear. This guitar has a beautiful ivory binding all around. Guitar has great action and plays beautifully. 25" scale length. All the models in the Collector's series - released between 1981 and 1982 - bear the distinct 2-letter prefix "CE" (Collector's Edition) on the headstock. The "CE" is always followed by one of three digits, "1", "2" or "3", which signifies the year of issue as 1981, 1982 or 1983. Serial # 40200322. Built in the 80's with limited production, these guitars never got off the ground like Fender had hoped.
