This hard to find set is in exceptionally good condition, especially for the age(1909-1910). Set is one of the hardest to find of the Harvard Classics due to the Eliot Foundation Emblem. The Eliot Foundation of Adult Education showing a Profile of Charles A. Eliot is found on the spine of each volume as well as an embossed Harvard Crest, Ship & "Veritas, Scientia, Humanitas" on the front board of each volume. Covers of all books are the Classic Harvard Blue. This set is numbered "120" on the interior of Volume 1. 

This 50 Volume Series was Copyrighted between 1909-1910 and will guide you through the ample and characteristic record of the stream of the world thought that the observant reader's mind should be enriched and refined. This collection, Containing approximately 23,000 pages, helps to obtain the knowledge of ancient and modern literature as seemed essential to the twentieth century idea of a cultivated man. This collection was selected with the help of over 50 Harvard Professors, Instructors and department libraries. Also Includes the Syllabus in the Humanities Supplement.
