Montoya Showpigs is located in Farmersville Ohio. We primarily raise Herefords, Tamworths, and Spot pigs. Our breeding operation started in 2019. We started with 5 sows and are up to 20 (yes its addictive) When starting we purchased what we consider some of the best genetics and from top breeders in the industry. Our foundation hereford sow is a Pipefitter X Never Say Never. Her most notable accomplishment was raising Detour. Detour is housed at Crossroads Genetics. Our Tamworth Foundation Sows are a dynamic duo. The first is CiCi who is a Guess What X Big Change. She raised Aleji who was the 2020 Buckeye Show Circuit Champion and OYE reserve grand champion. The other is Tate 19 Tams Can, who is a Power Lift X Bentley. She is also a litermate to Fury who was Tamworth Boar of the year in 2021. In 2020 we added our first Spot, Foxy Sabrina, who is Emancipation X Bouncer. She was the Champion bred gilt at the 2020 STC/WPX. We have been blessed and have enjoyed the relationships along the way. We follow Dr. Logue's vaccination protocol and worm monthly.
