The sale will be LIVE, at our facility, and online bidding will be available for select items. The online portion of the auction will be at noon. There will be plenty of miscellaneous household, farm related, and antique collectibles sold live only. We are expecting a load of berry bushes just in time for spring planting, and a load of hanging baskets coming. Get your garden ready and make your front porch beautiful for the sunny days ahead. The sink was replaced with a new one and this one was never removed from the packaging. Made by Virginia Marble in Kenbridge. BERRIES Berry Plants We have blueberries, blackberries, and fig plants. Blueberry varieties inlcude Bluechop, Jubilee, O'Neal, and Patriot. Blackberries are Navaho and Ouachita and the fig plants are Chicago Hardy Figs. These varieties are selected to be successful in the Southside VA region. They prefer a soil pH around 5. CATTLE Entire Cattle Herd - By the Entirety, NOT by the Head ENTIRE CATTLE HERD! NOT BY THE HEAD! Cattle herd consisting of 18 cows. As of March 11, there are five calves, and the remaining are due any day. We anticipate at least 15 pairs before sale day. The herd is located on the farm and can be viewed prior to the sale by appointment. There is an onsite loading pen that can be used for loading; however, hauling will be buyer's responsibility. We can help with local shippers that can provide hauling at buyer's expense. The owner would like to have the cattle removed from property within a week of the auction. The land has sustained the cattle herd we are selling and the owner is looking to retire. We are selling the rights for a three year lease. The high bidder will pay the first year of the lease and sign the contract on the day of the sale. There will be 10% premium paid on the first year lease rate, and the tenant will pay the landowner directly for years two and three.
