BENEFIT AUCTION FOR ALPHA DELTA KAPPA INTERNATIONAL HONORARY FOR WOMEN EDUCATORS
This charity auction will benefit Alpha Delta Kappa, International Honorary Organization for Women Educators and specifically its scholarship programs for members, nonmembers and future women educators. Headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, Alpha Delta Kappa has more than 1,200 chapters located in towns and cities in every state in the U. S. and around the world in Australia, Canada, Jamaica, Mexico and Puerto Rico. In South Carolina, ADK has 32 chapters, with 10 of these chapters located in the upstate and with 5 chapters based in Greenville. Our chapter, Zeta Chapter, will spearhead the auction to benefit Greenville women educators and future young women from our state planning to teach. In fact, one scholarship recipient who graduated recently from Furman University is now teaching at a local elementary school. Proceeds from this auction will provide scholarships and recognition for educators and future teachers who then use their energies and talents to enrich the lives of their students.
