Listing Information
We have some extremely fine furniture going to auction this week. Up first is an 1890s Rococo-style Louis XV Shell Carved Buffet. This piece is absolutely stunning with marble top and is in very good condition for being over 125 years old! This French antique buffet in the Louis XV style is perfect for a French Country dining room or kitchen. At just under 9 feet tall, this buffet is sure to make a big impression when you entertain. This antique buffet was crafted in France around 1890 and is carved in beautiful solid walnut. The large carved shell crowning the antique buffet sets the tone for the very pretty styling of the piece, including carved swags and plumes. Next, is a French Provincial dining set with 8 chairs. This table is an unusual design in that the extensions pull out at each end making for a table that is almost 11 feet long, yet when collapsed is perfect for 6 chairs. The ladder back carved chairs include 6 side-chairs and 2 arm-chairs in a bright yellow and blue French Country fabric. Also, we brought a leather inlaid, slab-top coffee table by Henredon. Chic, understated and in excellent condition. We also brought 3 wooden barstools and a 1920s mahogany side-buffet to round out the furniture offerings. Next up, we included 2 fine art pieces - a original Watercolor by Stacy Beckman celebrating USC Football and a signed, numbered art print of a Tiger by Le Vaux, includes a COA. You don't want to miss this one - it's mid-week at South Coast Auctions but worth it. If you haven't yet attended an auction it is a fun and fascinating event.
