Listing Information
Front door parking in downtown Lake Park, cleverly located off of US HWY 10, 33 miles from the Red River East of Fargo and 12 West of Detroit Lakes! Go North at Casey's 1/2 mile to downtown. 2nd Street is Main street. We are in the second block on the West side, under THE street light. Cedar shakes and green trim between the Cafe and DH Accounting. Happy Bidding!!! We truly appreciate all of our sellers and buyers!!! THANK YOU! Now accepting items for NOVEMBER and CHRISTMAS Auctions! Call us to see what we can do! Grading consists of the following: Tears, wrinkles, creases, staple position and cleanliness, corners, rubbing, stains all play a part of the grading. For older comics 1985 and older there is a bit more leniency but not much. Below are my 7 levels: 1. Mint - perfect in every way. 2. Near Mint - one of the criteria may have a slight issue but to the eye it appears Mint. on an older comic there could be some visible rubbing or crease around a staple. An older comic just can hardly ever be MINT Therefore most of the even best old comics fall into a near mint by default. 3. Excellent - more than one of the criteria may slightly be noticeable and can have visible small issues when handling the comic. Even some creases are acceptable if the balance of the comic is high quality. 4. Very Good will have noticeable creases or other rubbing, etc. This should not be very visible from an arms reach away. More leniency is allowed for older comics. 5. Good is where a magazine makes the grade. A good comic is still one you would not be ashamed to have in your collection. One or all of the criteria may be compromised but in a presentable way. 6. Fair is on the edge of being collectible. If it is a rare comic or one that has writing or many issues but the cover is still display worthy then go for it. If it is sentimental - who cares. 7. Poor - Has many problems or has the cover ripped off etc. For the most part the comic is still readable and identifiable. This can still be worthy of a purchase depending on various factors.
