David will be conducting the Michigan Jewish Sports Foundation’s 28th annual Hank Greenberg Memorial Golf Invitational Auction
The lineup of award winners at the Michigan Jewish Sports Foundation’s 28th annual Hank Greenberg Memorial Golf Invitational was announced last week, and it’s led by a popular former Detroit Tigers star. Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez, a 2017 inductee into the Baseball Hall of Fame, will receive the Hank Greenberg Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award on June 11 at Franklin Hills Country Club in Farmington Hills. Rodriguez played for the Tigers from 2004-2008, helping lead them into the World Series in 2006. The Dick Schaap Memorial Award for Media Excellence will be presented to his son, eight-time Emmy Award winning ESPN reporter and author Jeremy Schaap. Dick Schaap and now Jeremy Schaap have been longtime participants in the dinner program that follows golf at the invitational. In fact, Jeremy Schaap once again will be the program’s emcee this year.
