1931 Plymouth 2 door sedan Model PA
The following info was submitted by Ed: "Purchased in 1979 from 3rd owner who, with a friend, restored it. It was purchased by an auto body repair shop for use as advertising for parades, etc. They had so many manifold problems they decided to put it up for sale in Hemmings Motor News, but I learned of the car and purchased it before they sent in the ad. I towed it home and proceeded to get it running. I also had manifold problems until I located a PA engine in northern MN. I removed the manifold from that engine and found the manifold was different than the ones I had. I later learned the manifolds that were on the engine were actually from a '29 or '30 engine and had been improved in '31. I then rebuilt all the running gear and drove the car for a short time until the engine seized up. When I disassembled it I found the rods had been installed backwards so the wrist pins didn't get lubrication. It was then I learned the engine was actually a '32. I located a '31 engine that was supposedly rebuilt in OH and brought it home. I disassembled it and had all the rotating parts electronically balanced and then balanced as an assembly. The balancing firm told me that parts were very uneven in weight. I then reassembled it and it now runs very smoothly for a 4 cyl engine. In addition to the electronically balancing I installed a stainless steel exhaust system. I also rebuilt the brake system using silicone brake fluid (DOT 5) and rebuilt the master cyl and wheel cylinders. At present time the brakes are not working properly so the car cannot be driven on the road. I had the grill, grill shell, headlight housings flying lady radiator cap and headlight bar chrome plated. I also had the headlight reflectors silver plated. I didn't have the bumpers re-plated. The interior is upholstered in the correct style but the material is wrong. It should be brown mohair. The top material is also wrong. New tires were installed, the wire wheels were sand blasted and powder coated. The radiator was boiled out since it cannot be rodded out. The car has about 15,000 miles on the rebuild."  Ed Wilkinson
Payment by bidders previously unknown to us must be made by secure funds only. Title will not transfer and the vehicle will not leave the premises until approved payment has been made.

1966 Plymouth Fury III 4-door sedan
The following was submitted by Ed: "The Fury III was the top of the line for all but the hard top and convertible, which also came in Sport Fury models. This car was purchased in southeast WI in February of 1966 but the buyer wouldn't let the dealer deliver the car until April so that it wouldn't be driven on salted roads. As far as I know, he never drove it on salted roads as long as he owned it. How else would a WI car not have any rust on it? The car was donated to the WI Automotive Museum in Hartford by his heirs after his death. Not considered an interesting addition to the museum's displays, it was parked in the back area of the museum. As a volunteer at the museum, I saw the car every time I volunteered, usually once a month. I kept looking at it and finally decided I must have it so I purchased it and drove it home. The car is 100% original including the paint. The interior is perfect except for some wear on the driver's seat and the wind lacing around the front doors. There is also a little damage to the left front fender trim. I put new radial tires on the car for safety and comfort. The Plymouth is fitted with a 318 V-8 engine with automatic transmission. It drives great, but I'm getting too old to enjoy driving it so I decided to sell it. I do not know if the mileage on the speedometer is correct."  Ed Wilkinson

Ed states that he doesn't know if the mileage on the odometer, (57733) is correct but based on the condition of the interior and the condition of the pedals, I don't know know how it couldn't be. - Mike

- Mike

- Mike
