After 50+ years of collecting straight razors, Robert A. Doyle will be offering at auction his life-time collection of fancy and unusual straight razors. Doyle, an Auctioneer/Appraiser/Real Estate Broker, started collecting at 16 years of age and has just turned sixty-seven. When asked why straight razors? Doyle responded, "They are small, beautiful, historic, one-of-a-kind artistic pieces that are nearly impossible to reproduce. There are no "fakes" to be concerned with." He continued, "It is time to allow others the opportunity to own and enjoy these beautiful shaving tools. The straight razor was the most prized personal tool of men through the ages." - Rob Doyle, Items located in Pleasant Valley, NY. PLEASE NOTE: In an effort to keep both our staff and customers safe and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, our office is temporarily closed due to the NY state mandate. Payment must be made online through the "My Account" tab, or email us to request that we charge your card on file. We ask that if you are sick, please send a friend to pick up the items for you. Payment is due by Thursday, May 28 at 1PM. Pickup in Pleasant Valley, NY by appointment only on the following days: Weds., 5/27, Fri., 5/29 & Mon., 6/1. Pickup must be completed by Mon., 6/1 at 3PM. Winning bidders will schedule pickup through a sign-up link in the invoice email. All lots sold as is, where is. There is a 15% Buyers Premium for all lots purchased.
