This Locomotive has been disabled in 2020 as part of a government grant covenant by plasma cutting holes in the block of the main drive engine and the HEP engine or by fully removing these engines.

 

Research is based on a hybrid of the sum of the parts still in operational order and the overall scrap value (260,000 lb). It is assumed that all parts were operational until decommission in 2020.

 

 

Main: ENGINE HAS BEEN REMOVED Cylinder HEP: NO ENGINE

 

 

Details:

 

1. All PTC Components Removed.

 

2. All ATS Components Removed.

 

3. Some Minor Parts Removed (Lights / Gauges)

 

6. Traction Motors: 4

 

7. Wheel Sets: 4

 

8. Fuel Tank: 1

 

9. Cooling Fans / Grid Blowers: 4

 

10. Aux Equipment Rack: Intact

 

11. Alternator: Intact

 

12. Turbo: Intact

 

13. Generator / Compressor: Intact

 

14. Weight: 260,000 lb

 

 

California Air Resources Board (CARB) Requirement:

 

If this locomotive is brought back into service, it must be repowered to a Tier 4 or cleaner locomotive engine standard.
