AUCTION IS LIVE AT AUCTIONOHIO.COM. BEGINS TO END TUESDAY, APRIL 30 AT 8:PM. Welcome to the final auction offering selected items from an extensive collection of elephants. Some might say we saved the best for last. Historical artifacts include: a 15th century Chinese Kuei, a 9" long jade tablet which was the insignia of a ruler/emperor. A 17th century Burmese marble travertine figure of a young Buddha and an elephant replete with symbolism. A 300-year-old tiny Burmese jade ornament. Chinese slate censer, Thai temple rubbings, Cambodian jade and so many elephants beautifully crafted from rocks and minerals, wood, brass, bronze, glass and more.
From a collection of well over 1,000 elephants which was shared with COSI, donated to The Columbus Foundation and loaned to The Columbus Zoo to share with visitors for many years. All net proceeds of this auction and the other elephant auctions will be used for philanthropic purposes.
Thank you to David and the folks at Gold Star Jewelers in Westerville and to the Something Special Rock Shop, also in Westerville!
