These items are from the Richard Britton estate in Charlottesville, Va. Mr. Britton served in the US Army Signal Corps at White Sands Proving Grounds NM.
After his service he worked in physics at Newport News Shipbuilding and DD CO, the UVA Research Lab, Ion Physics Corp. of Boston, and Brookhaven National Lab. He held patents on superconductors, SC AC-to-DC power convertors, cryo-thermoelectrics, and electromagnets. He began engine research in 1974 and developed a recuperative gas cycle of an internal combustion engine - the Hx Gas Cycle. He was the president of Hetex Engines, Inc.
