Diane Griffiths (1947- ) has been a full-time painter and printmaker since the 1980's. She has exhibited her paintings and prints widely around the UK in both solo and mixed shows. In 2003 she was artist in residence for the Poetry Next the Sea Festival in Norfolk and was commissioned by North Norfolk District Council to provide a large work for a concert showcasing contemporary music in conjunction with the Britten Sinfonia. As a printmaker, Griffiths explores relief and intaglio methods to continue her interest in myth and creation stories and, as a painter, is exploring her relationship with the Suffolk countryside and has concentrated increasingly on colorist work with reference to landscape.
