BRG is pleased to offer this truly unique single owner downsize collection hailing from a longtime North Carolina resident's circa 1960s custom-built house. The owner's late husband had a deep passion for European castle culture. The entire home's design aesthetic, as a result, is reminiscent of medieval European castles complete with secret passageways and a torture chair (purportedly deactivated). From Jacobean furniture to decorative weaponry, this downsize collection features everything from fine and rare antiques more contemporary MCM elements.
Auction highlights include: ▪︎ an extremely rare Laurette Lovell Francis (American, 1867-1936) painted clay olla (only four are known to be in existence ... this makes the fifth). ▪︎ an important 17th century carved deb▪︎tors/torture chair ▪︎ an impressive 19th century French double-sided iron music stand ▪︎ a 6'5" French Majolica statue of a gentleman musician
