You will not have to go through the registration process for future auctions. If you do not wish to register with your credit card, please contact our office and we will assist you with options. If you have difficulty with registering or if you are unsure about the process, or if you just want help bidding, call our office and we will be glad to help you with it. We ship in-house with reasonable handling charges. Payment is expected within 48 hours of invoice for shipped items. If you wish to make payment arrangements other than credit card for shipped orders, we ask that you contact Black and Gold Auctions at least 24 hours before the auction. We will be happy to work with you in that way. IMPORTANT CHANGES EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 27, 2019: All unpaid invoices remaining at 12:00 Noon on Saturday following the auction end will be assessed a $10 storage fee and the total invoice amount will be charged to the credit card on file with HiBid. If purchased items are not picked up within 7 days, additional storage fees of $2 per item per day will accrue and bidding privileges will be suspended until items are removed from our facility. If items are not removed at the end of 30 days, they will be forfeited and bidding privileges will be permanently revoked. 1900 & 02-O Barber quarters, both Good
The 1902-O has been cleaned and has numerous hairlines.

3
1904-O Barber quarter, close to VG
Better date Barber quarter. Three letters of LIBERTY are visible, so detail-wise this coin is very close to VG.

4
1905-O Barber quarter, Good details
Another better date, low mintage Barber quarter. Light scratches on obverse, likely from an old cleaning.

5
1917 Type 1 Standing Liberty quarter, VG
Bare breast variety. Good strike for an early date Standing Liberty quarter, as they frequently come poorly struck.

6
5 circulated Standing Liberty quarters
All will grade Good to VG. Dates include: 1925, 27 (2), 28 (2).

7
5 circulated Standing Liberty quarters
Will grade Good to VG. Dates include: 1928-S, 29, 29-D. 29-S, 1930.

8
1932-D Washington quarter, VG+, Key Date!
The details on this coin are better than VG, but not quite full enough to be called Fine. One of the keys to the Washington quarter series.

9
1932-S Washington quarter, VG+, Key Date!
The other key date in the Washington quarter series, with better than VG details, but again, not quite full enough to make Fine.

10

11
1936-S & 37-S circulated Washington quarters
The 1937-S is a very low mintage coin.

13
4 circulated 1940's Washington quarters
Includes: 1940-D, 45-S, 46-S (VF) and 48-S.

23
1906-D Barber half dollar, Fine details
Full LIBERTY, this coin has been cleaned at some point.

24
1934-D Walking Liberty half, XF+
Although the coin has some tarnish, oops sorry, "toning", we see some mint luster underneath. A well detailed coin.

29
1942 Walking Liberty half, AU
Nicely detailed coin, with typical flat strike, but very little wear.

35
1947 & 47-D Walking Liberty halves
Will grade VF and XF, respectively.

37
1955 Franklin half dollar, Uncirculated
The reverse is starting to tone nicely

40
2 1964 Kennedy half dollars
Like most 1964 Kennedy halves, these were saved, so they exhibit little wear. Both are close to--if not--uncirculated.

49
1878 Morgan dollar, 7 feathers, Rev of 78
High AU, with most remaining luster. Just light rub on highest points of coin keeps this from being called uncirculated.

50
1878 Morgan dollar, 7 feathers, Rev of 79
Choice uncirculated with very nice fields.

51
1878-CC Morgan dollar, XF details
Scratch on obverse and this coin has been cleaned. Very desirable CC mintmark.

52
1878-CC Morgan dollar, PCGS MS64
One of the prettiest Morgan dollars in this auction.

53
1878-S Morgan dollar, XF
Likely dipped or lightly cleaned at some point.

54
1879 Morgan dollar, AU details
LIghtly cleaned or dipped at some point.

55
1879-CC Morgan dollar, VF+
One could argue it's and XF coin, but we think there's just a little too much wear.

56
1879-CC Morgan dollar, Fine details
Several shallow gouges in hair above ear. Rim ding on reverse at about 7:30.

57
1879-O Morgan dollar, High AU
Most of mint luster remains. Slight flatness on cheek and rub on the highest points keeps this just out of uncirculated range.

58
1879-S Morgan dollar, Borderline Unc
If we gave it a numerical grade, it would be AU-58++. S-mint Morgans usually have great strikes and this one is no exception, however, the cheek is just a bit flat. Some would call this uncirculated without a second glance.

61
1880-CC Morgan dollar, PCGS MS63
This coin has the 8/7 Reverse of 1878. Sharp looking coin that we might argue should be a 64.

62
1880-O Morgan dollar, HIgh AU
Very close to uncirculated.

63
1880-S Morgan dollar, Choice Unc+
Dazzling luster and strike with highly reflective surfaces. We are on the verge of calling it semi-prooflike. Very few bagmarks and very close to being gem.

64
1881 Morgan dollar, High AU
Very close to uncirculated, with a bit of rub on highest points.

71
1882-CC Morgan dollar, Choice Unc
Blazing luster and very pleasing surfaces. Lots of eye appeal on this coin and we think it will easily make MS63 and is a good candidate for an MS64.

76
1883-CC Morgan dollar, Choice Unc+
Gorgeous coin! Should easily make a 64 if submitted for grading and an argument could certainly be made for this being a Gem.

80
1884-CC Morgan dollar, Nice Uncirculated
The cheek has its share of bagmarks, but this is a very lustrous coin with a beautiful reverse.

84
1885 Morgan dollar, Nice Uncirculated
Baggy, but superb luster for a Philadelphia Mint Morgan dollar.

87
1885-O Morgan dollar, Uncirculated
Numerous bagmarks but outstanding luster, particularly for an O-Mint Morgan dollar.

89

Typical flat strike for this date, but we see no wear.

This coin has been dipped or cleaned at some point.

91
Scarce 1886-S Morgan dollar, AU
Very low mintage coin, with only 750,000 struck.

94

It should be noted that there are numerous tiny marks/scratches on obverse.

95

Typical flat strike so often seen on Philadelphia Mint Morgan dollars.

96
1888-O Morgan dollar, Choice Unc
This coin has above average luster and eye appeal.

99
KEY DATE 1889-CC Morgan dollar, PCGS VG08
Problem free super scarce coin.

100
KEY DATE 1889-CC Morgan dollar, Fine details
Has been cleaned at some point. Second of three 89-CC's in this auction. We guarantee it to be genuine.

101
KEY DATE 1889-CC Morgan dollar, PCGS F Detail
PCGS notes both Genuine and Cleaned. It's not often that one has a choice of 3 1889-CC Morgans offered in one auction.

103
Scarce 1889-S Morgan dollar, AU
Low mintage of only 700,000. Lots of remaining luster, but light wear evident.

105
1890-CC Morgan dollar, VF details
Rather harshly cleaned.

106
1890-CC Morgan dollar, XF+ details
This coin bothers us. It looks real good, but on both the obverse and reverse there are vertical parallel lines or striations that run from top to bottom. We are not sure of EXACTLY what was done, but we have to call these altered surfaces. Possibly ...

109
1891 Morgan dollar, High AU
Not far off from being uncirculated.

113

114
1892 Morgan dollar, AU
Flatly struck on eagle's breast.

119
Scarce 1893 Morgan dollar, VF
Very low mintage of only 378,000.

122
Scarce 1893-O Morgan dollar, VF
A paltry 300,000 of these were minted.

123
RARE 1893-S Morgan dollar, PCGS VF Detail
With a mintage of only 100,000, this is the key to the regular issue Morgan dollar series. The coin is genuine with VF details, which is a decent grade for this date. PCGS notes "Scratch" which we would call more of a short fissure and it runs from t...

124
Rare 1894 Morgan dollar, PCGS F15
Only 110,000 minted. A problem free example.

125
1894-O Morgan dollar, XF+
Lots of remaining luster, but just too much wear to make AU.

128
Scarce 1895-S Morgan dollar, VG details
Please note there is PVC residue on this coin. We suggest the new owner have it carefully and properly removed.

129
1896 Morgan dollar, AU
Good remaining luster, but rub on the high points.

133
1897-O Morgan dollar, XF+ details
This coin has been cleaned and has numerous light hairlines.

134
1897-S Morgan dollar, High AU
Has that lovely San Francisco mint luster and reflective surfaces, but there is light rub.

135
1898 Morgan dollar, Borderline Unc
This coin is so close to uncirculated, we deliberated calling it an unc.

138
1898-O Morgan dollar, Choice Unc+
This coin is very close to Gem.

140
Scarce 1899 Morgan dollar, High AU
Extremely low mintage of only 330,000. This coin is lustrous and exhibits only the lightest rub.

141
1899-O Morgan dollar, Uncirculated, Choice Unc
Very nice looking coin with great luster.

144
1900 Morgan dollar, Uncirculated
There is some residue (glue?) on the lower part of the eagle and on the eagles legs. We urge the new owner to have it carefully and properly removed.

145
1900-O Morgan dollar, Choice Unc+
Beautiful coin with few blemishes--this coin has a shot at being graded Gem Unc.

147
1900-S Morgan dollar, AU details
Pretty coin, but likely dipped or lightly cleaned at some point.

148
1901 Morgan dollar, XF details
This coin has PVC residue on the surfaces. We urge the new owner to have it carefully and properly removed.

149
1901-O Morgan dollar, Choice Unc
Great looking coin that would probably make 64 if submitted for grading.

150
1901-S Morgan, AU+
Great S-Mint luster, but light rub on high points.

153
Scarce 1902-S Morgan dollar, AU details
Looks like it was either lightly cleaned or dipped at some point. A very tough date to acquire nice.

156
Scarce 1903-O Morgan dollar, PCGS AU Detail
PCGS notes: Scratch, but in our estimation the scratch is light and this coin retains nice eye appeal.

160

162

165
1921-D Morgan dollar, Borderline Unc

170
Scarce 1921 Peace dollar, AU+
Better grade than we usually see these.

186
1927-D Peace dollar, Choice AU

Light scratches front and back and the coin has been cleaned at some point. A tough date.

196
1922 Peace dollar, Choice Unc
We found this straggler and inserted it here, even though it is out of sequence. Dazzling luster.

197
Key Date 1950-D Jefferson nickel, Choice Unc
Showy coin with some blue toning on reverse.

199
1938-64 Jefferson nickel album, Uncirculated
Here is a great album and every coin in this album is uncirculated, including all the key and semi-key dates and the silver wartime nickels. Very nice.

Several shallow gouges in hair above ear. Rim ding on reverse at about 7:30.

If we gave it a numerical grade, it would be AU-58++. S-mint Morgans usually have great strikes and this one is no exception, however, the cheek is just a bit flat. Some would call this uncirculated without a second glance.
