Listing Information
The Hankins Auction Service has been commissioned to sell the Estate of Sheriff George Lasater, former Charlevoix County Sheriff, serving 32 yrs! Sheriff Lasater was the longest serving Sheriff in the State of Michigan when he retired in 2008. Sheriff Lasater passed recently, and we've been commissioned to sell his personal property and Police, Sheriff, and Military collections, along with tools, lawn and garden, horse saddles, Dive gear, etc. This will be a great auction, held on a Thursday evening, starting about 4pm and running until we are finished. Included will be items from the Sheriff's own personal "Jail", which was built on his property. Check out the pictures, this will be a unique auction! The Auction should move along quickly, don't be late! DIRECTIONS: From US-31 north of Charlevoix, take the Boyne City-Charlevoix road to Horton Bay, then North on Horton Bay N. Rd for approx. 1/2 mile. Follow the signs!! Still making the arrangements, this is a short notice sale as we just booked it, the real estate is listed and may sell quickly!
