This makes bidding more convenient and less time consuming. Your account will bid for you using the 'minimum bid increment' until it reaches your maximum bid. You don't have to bid again every time someone outbids you until the current winning bid is above your 'Max Bid'. For example: You place a bid on an auction item which has a current high bid of $1,000 by entering the maximum amount you're willing to pay for the item (New Max Bid = $2,000). Your account will place a bid of $1,200 on your behalf ($1,000 current winning bid + $200 minimum bid increment). If someone else bids $1,400. Your account will automatically bid $1,600 on your behalf. Your account will continue to bid for you (using the minimum bid increments) until you reach your 'New Max Bid = $2,000'. If the current winning bid is more than your 'Max Bid', your account will not bid again for you (i.e. If someone else bids $2,200). You can change your New Max Bid until the auction closes. The seller and other bidders cannot see your New Max Bid. AUCTION CLOSING DATE(S) AND TIMES: Auctions with multiple lots will have "Staggered Closing' times. Bidding will close for the first lot number at the specified date and time. The rest of the lots will close one at a time in numerical order after an amount of time that is set by the auctioneer. DAY OF AUCTION: Any announcements or changes to the terms and conditions made on auction day by the Auctioneer will take precedence over any previous printed material or oral statements. We invite you to show your support for our youth by joining us in-person or online for our annual County and District 4-H/FFA Beef Sale. The purpose of our livestock sale is to promote and encourage livestock production by the youth. The proceeds assist them in growing their project area learning and lifelong educational goals. For the market beef sale, buyers have 2 options: 1. Bidding for the meat: Buyers may purchase the beef to be processed at Greenville Locker or Ruthven Meat Processing. In this case, successful bidders will receive an invoice from the Extension Office for the full bid price. For example: if the base bid is $1.20 and you have the winning bid at $1.35, you would be billed for $1.35 per pound (the base bid and the premium). Additionally, you will pay the locker directly for any processing fees, and you will receive the meat. 2. Bidding for premium only: Buyers may send the animal to the designated pack that is servicing the sale. All bidding will begin at the base bid (market) price. In this case, the successful bidder will receive an invoice from the Extension Office for the amount bid above the base market price. For example: if the base bid is $1.20 and you have the winning bid at $1.35 but choose to send the meat to the designated pack, you will be billed for the premium of $.15 per pound. The designated pack will pay the $1.20 per pound. The buyer will not incur processing fees or receive any meat.
