Founder Jack Lowderman has been an instrumental promoter of the Auction Method of Marketing. Many midwesterners may remember Jack's father, Wayne Lowderman, now passed on; a reputable and successful auctioneer as well. Jack's wife Sherry's grandfather was Chet Jennings who built, owned and operated Jennings Sale Barn, which was the largest sale barn in Illinois. Jack was the first to establish an on-site auction facility in the midwest, conducting sales weekly, and hosting special Auction Information Seminars yearly in Macomb.

One of the most experienced and recognized auction firms in the midwest, The Lowderman Auction Company has grown to become a full time family business that includes: Jack and Sherry Lowderman, their three sons, Monte, Brent, and Cody Lowderman, as well as Scott Schwerer. Each play a vital role in planning, preparing, promoting and conducting each auction.

Phase I of the Lowderman Auction Facility and Indoor Sales Pavilion has been completed. This indoor facility offers 3 display rooms, handicapped accessible bathrooms and parking, level cement floor suitable for wheelchair and walker ease with no stairs, and a center sales pavilion. Situated on 35 acres this facility offers plenty of room for machinery, equipment and vehicle display, as well as generous off road parking. Specialty Auctions are hosted throughout the year, along with a monthly "Open to the World" Consignment Auction. This facility is available for qualified groups and organizations for special events and meetings. "We felt a need for a modern facility such as this."
