The company is now owned and operated by Red’s son Doug Merritt and grandson Tim Tobey. Together they continue the fine tradition of knowledge, hard work and professionalism you have come to know and expect.

We’ve auctioned just about anything you can imagine-Real estate, antiques, estates, business liquidations, farm equipment, and Auto & Municipal Auctions.

Our complete package includes advertising, setup, tear down, auctioning, clerking, cashiers, tables & tents.  We serve the entire West Michigan area and beyond.

Our advertising efforts include large mailing lists, emails, newspapers, local shopping guides, signage, GoToAuction, EstateSale.com, YouTube, craigslist.com, Facebook, our website, auctionzip.com and more!

Merritt Auction Service is bonded, insured and we are graduates of Reppert’s School of Auctioneering. We are long-time members of the Michigan State Auctioneer’s Association (MSAA) and Doug Merritt serves on the Board of Directors and Tim Tobey is a past Director.
