Listing Information

A seasonal getaway, a second home, a Florida vacation spot ... many possibilities for your retirement plans!  The owner is offering this 2 BR/ 2BA mobile home fully furnished.  They have enjoyed it for many years, and intend to pass along the total package to the next person(s) to share the joy they've experienced in Bay Indies.  It is a lovely community, with many amenities for recreation and socializing.  This mobile home is ideally located (one of the reasons the owners have loved it); with the clubhouse and pool only a short stroll away, while the residence itself is on a quiet and peaceful street.

Features include:

Spacious carport with room to entertain.

Landscaping including two plumerias and other tropical plants, with room to add more of your own.

Storage/utility room in the carport, with washer and dryer and utility tub, cleaning supplies included.

Outdoor storage on the carport including tool cabinets and contents.

Two three-wheel bikes for getting around the resort.  These are vintage bikes and probably have resale value, or just ride them and use them!

Fully stocked kitchen including dishes, pots & pans, utensils, coffeemaker, etc.  Lots of cabinet space, plus a narrow pantry with even more storage.  The kitchen is separated from one of the dining areas by a tile-top breakfast bar, with 2 stools.

Kitchen appliances: GE stovetop, Maytag side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, Tappan oven (older), Sharp countertop microwave.

Living space including a great room with sofa and love seat, rattan chairs, coffee and end tables, rocker/recliner, rattan wall unit, TV, stereo system with speakers, floor lamps; just sit back and relax!

Dining room with built-in cabinetry, spot lighting, and a tropical rattan dining set.  Large bay windows let in all that beautiful sunshine; and there are blinds to close when needed.

A second informal dining area just off the kitchen.  (The dining set and misc in that area are not included.)  However, in that area there is a bookshelf, a desk, and a sewing machine table that are included.  This is a versatile room!

Through the sliding doors is a lanai with a view of palm trees, furnished with sofa, chairs, TV, accent tables, and decoratives.  Outside the lanai is a small porch with railing; sit and enjoy the breeze or sunset.

The first bedroom is furnished with twin beds, and pretty pastel furniture, and has a good-sized walk-in closet.

The main bath has a shower in the tub, and storage in a built-in shelving area.

The master suite has French Provencial furnishings: a queen bed, night stands, glass-top dresser, tower bookshelf.  Also, a vintage settee and extra chairs, TVs, full-length mirror.  The master suite includes a small area for a computer workstation, and has a large walk-in closet with lots of storage space.

The master bathroom has a shower, and everything needed including a medicine cabinet.

In the hallway is a linen closet, and a walk-in closet for utility items (this would even make a hobby room for small sit-down projects).

Furnished with decorative touches (including an iconic seashell lamp!) and collectible décor (even some antiques), plus rugs, bedding, towels - all are included.  Keep everything as-is or change things around to suit your tastes.  Either way, this home is move-in-ready, and you can take your time with updating while still living here.

Most rooms have ceiling fans, and the color scheme is light and bright with an airy Florida feel.

Condition:  Of course, this mobile home is aging, and has issues that go along with that.  Come inspect the property if you can.  We noticed sagging floors in some spots, water damage in a few spaces in the ceiling.  Wallpaper is starting to peel.  The owner says most of this is from Hurricane Irma last year.  However, on a positive note, the roof has just been professionally repaired.  The owner says it was under warranty when Irma struck, and has been brought back up to standards now.

About Bay Indies --- On-site activities include: billiards, shuffleboard, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, three swimming pools, biking and walking trails, three clubhouses, catch-and-release lake, bird watching, and more.  Located just 3 miles from beautiful Gulf Beaches.  Nearby are local shopping areas, medical services, and the charming downtown of Venice.

Please read the Terms and Conditions concerning the legal aspects of bidding.  Call Auctioneer Collin Painter with any questions: 941-822-7756.  You must be age-qualified (55+) and approved by Bay Indies mobile home park.  Their contact information is: 855-712-7157.

There is a Reserve Price on this home, which means that bidding must reach a certain price point before it will sell.  The owner has placed a reasonable reserve, and if you are looking for an affordable home in Venice, this may be a perfect opportunity.  Bid your best, because the owner will consider all offers that fall below the reserve price.

Lot rent has been $846/month, which includes certain utilities and lawn maintenance, according to the current owner.  The buyer is responsible to contact Bay Indies to confirm the lot rent amount and the utilities included.

A 10% buyer's premium will be added to the bid to determine the selling price.

Open House:  Sunday, May 27, from 2:00-4:00 p.m.

Bidding is online-only for this auction, at our local website:

Bidding begins to close at 8:00 p.m. on auction day, in a "soft close" method which extends the bidding time when bids are placed in the final seconds.
