A.M. SIRENA was born in White Plains, N.Y., on January 13th 1929. her father died a few months later. In 1931, because of the Depression, Sirena's mother went to her parents' native Italy, where starvation and then World War II, brought about the death of her eight children. Only Sirena survived when she was rescued from a burning train by an opera singer, who later discovered the little girl's four octave vocal range voice and trained her to sing grand opera. In 1943 Sirena made her singing debut in Naples. After the War, in 1947, Sirena returned to New York, where the Lew Walters Agency signed and booked her on singing engagements throughout the world. Years later, particularly because of an almost fatal illness, Sirena abandoned her singing career. After five cloistered years of self-taught painting, in 1965 she started showing her paintings in many renowned galleries, from the U.S.A. to Italy, France, Holland. Picasso said of Sirena's paintings: "They should be shown throughout the world..." In addition to painting, Sirena has composed music and lyrics, and also wrote poetry

Mr. Hornberger was trained as a scientist, mathematician, and engineer working in the space program and later working for DuPont and working with Dupont product Mylar. In 1965, Don Hornberger decided to pursue an artistic life and began painting.

American artist JAMES ARCHIBALD MITCHELL III (born 1932). Mitchell is known for marine art of coastlines and boats and ships, though he also painted classic New England barns. Mitchell was born in Baltimore and educated at the Art Students League, studying under Frank Riley.

DON HORNBERGER(American, 1921 - 2006) Famous landscape artist Don Hornberger is best known for his distinctive and recognizable skies, Hornberger was able to manipulate acrylics and water on unusual surfaces— although he painted on canvas, slate and Masonite, Hornberger believed his finest works were the skies he created on the reverse side of mylar, a technique he originated and mastered over many years. Mr. Hornberger was trained as a scientist, mathematician, and engineer working in the space program and later working for DuPont and working with Dupont product Mylar. In 1965, Don Hornberger decided to pursue an artistic life and began painting.

Hornberger's paintings are found in many museums, including the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, the Pratt Whitney Museum and the William Penn Museum. He is collected by the Rockefellers and Wyeths.

Thomas B. Griffin (1858-1918) was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania during the last half of the nineteenth century. His first formal art education was at the National Academy of Design in New York. While at the Academy, Griffin exhibited his very well executed impressionistic landscapes. In 1896, he listed his address as 340 Fulton Street, Brooklyn, New York. It was during this year that Griffin exhibited "Views from the Catskills (from Haine's Corners)" and "Hunter Mountain, Catskills," at the National Academy. Thomas B. Griffin later moved to Baltimore where he opened a studio and established himself as a painter of impressionistic landscapes.
