Indian Head Cents replaced the Flying Eagle Cent in 1859. The obverse depiction of an American Indian is believed to be the head of Liberty with an Indian chief’s headdress. The reverse shows an oak leaf wreath with acorns, a shield and arrows. This coin is gold-plated making it a rare collector’s item to keep an important part of American history alive.

The Kennedy half dollar was first minted in 1964, less than a year after the death of President John F. Kennedy. Jacqueline Kennedy wanted him memorialized on the quarter but they chose the half dollar instead of replacing Washington. The reverse is the Coat of Arms of the President of the United States. Because of a decline in usage, the half dollar was no longer minted for commercial use since 2002. This Proof specimen has a deeply mirrored surface and is produced on highly polished dies. These coins are sold only in proof sets to coin collectors in limited quantities.

This coin was collected from the Holy Land. The Roman Empire minted coins throughout its reign (27 BC to 378 AD). Kings and heroes of the battlefield were honored by stamping their likeness on a coin. Each is authentic and hand-struck; causing it to have its own unique shape. José Morelos, a priest and rebel leader, led the Mexican War of Independence. He was captured by Spain and executed for treason in 1815. His portrait appears on many Mexican coins to honor his contribution in history.

For more than a century, Congress would not depict a recognizable person on a U.S. coin until Teddy Roosevelt became President. For the first time in history, a person, Abraham Lincoln, was honored to celebrate the 100th anniversary of his birth. Victor D. Brenner designed the new cent using a bust of Lincoln. For the first time, the words "In God We Trust" appeared on a coin. It was accepted but when Brenner put his initials on the bottom reverse of the coin, another outcry was heard. Mintage was stopped with his initials removed, but not before some had already been released. This coin is one of them. At over 100 years, the Lincoln Cent is the longest running series of any U.S. Coin.

The Civil War was a tragic war in American history. Three million people fought; 600,000 paid the ultimate price. The desire for freedom traveled deeper than the color of skin and farther than the borders of any state.

This coin was minted during this difficult war. It could have been in the pocket of a brave soldier who gave his life for freedom and who fought for the principals and values that have shaped our United States.

The R.T. Hon. Sir Winston Churchill 1874 - 1965

This crown celebrates Winston Churchill: statesman, orator, painter, historian, soldier; the inspirer, leader and pride of his country. In war, he was Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Great Britain. He was in active service in many countries. His writings have enriched English literature. To his countrymen of all generations and to the world, he was the outstanding example of courage and patriotism. With the issue of the 1965 Commemorative crown, he became the first commoner to be portrayed on a British coin.

Scarce Barr Note! Joseph Walker Barr was the U.S. Treasury Secretary from December 21, 1968 to January 20, 1969, during the Lyndon Johnson Presidency. Barr held the shortest term of any other Secretary of the Treasury. Only $1.00 notes were printed bearing his signature.

The $2 note is a “United States Note” and backed only by the credit of the US Government and was redeemable for gold or silver. The Red Seal distinguishes it from the Green Seal (Federal Reserve Notes).

The United States Mint issued four different cents to recognize the 100th anniversary of the first issuance of the Lincoln cent and the bicentennial of Abraham Lincoln's birth. The first one is a log cabin representing Lincoln's humble beginnings. The second is his formative years sitting on a log resting from work and reading a book. The third depicts his professional life as a lawyer, and the fourth shows the half finished Capitol dome, symbolizing a Nation torn apart by civil war during his presidency. This set has a Denver and

Philadelphia mint mark of each coin.

In 2004, the US Mint changed the design of the Nickel to commemorate the Louisiana Purchase and the Lewis and Clark Expedition. The first nickel depicts the peace medal presented to Native American chiefs as tokens of goodwill. The second is a view of the keelboat in full sail that transported the Expedition through the Louisiana Territory. In 2005, the American bison returned to the coin and the second one is a scene of the Pacific Ocean and a phrase from Clark's journal, "Ocean in View! O! The joy!" The last nickel minted in 2006 depicts Monticello on the back as it has been since 1938. Three different faces of Jefferson are featured. This set has a Denver and Philadelphia Mint of each nickel in the series.

These brilliant uncirculated Medallions are found only in United States Mint Sets sold at premium prices in the year of issue. These Medallions show the Balance Scale and the traditional Treasury Key. On the reverse, the Mint Mark indicates Philadelphia or Denver. They are seldom offered as collector's items.

President Franklin Roosevelt died in 1945 after years of struggling over World War II that was nearing its end. The free world mourned and honored his memory on a new coin with his portrait. Since the late President had been afflicted with polio, it seemed natural to use the dime, now symbolic of the struggle to end polio through the "March of Dimes" fundraising campaign begun during Roosevelt's first term. The reverse features a torch, a symbol of freedom, with olive and oak branches denoting peace and victory. Very few of these were saved in their original Mint uncirculated condition

and are quite scarce. They have been minted since 1946.
