As the work grew, so too did Smith’s areas of operation. He eventually moved into oilfield, road, and bridge construction. Later, Smith added a gravel plant operation to the family property in the Macedonia community. The family earned a reputation as a steadfast and trusted business across Mississippi and Louisiana.
