TERMS OF SALE: The highest bidder shall deposit twenty-five percent (25%) of the winning bid price. Deposits shall not exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) per parcel or package. Such sum shall be held by the Special Commissioner of Sale and credited towards the purchase price following confirmation of the sale. A buyer’s premium of five percent (5%) of the winning bid price will be added to the final bid to determine final contract price and the buyer’s premium must be paid concurrently with the aforementioned deposit. The deposit and buyer’s premium shall be made in the form of a cashier’s check or other form of certified funds. No cash, personal checks, or credit cards will be accepted. Sealed bids will be permitted if received by the Special Commissioner of Sale at the address shown below at least seven (7) days prior to the auction date. That is, sealed bids must be received by 5:00pm on Thursday, May 24, 2018. Sealed bids must be accompanied by an irrevocable letter of credit from a financial institution, indicating that the bidder has committed available funds in the amount of $100,000 for each auction item in which bids are submitted. Sealed bid envelopes must be delivered to the address shown below and conspicuously labeled with “City of Fredericksburg, CVAS Auction Sealed Bid” and must indicate the specific parcel(s) corresponding to the bid to ensure proper receipt. Bidding will begin at the live auction in the amount of the highest sealed bid which has been timely received. Bidding by telephone will be permitted, at the discretion of the Special Commissioner of Sale, provided that the interested bidder has notified the Special Commissioner of Sale and provided an irrevocable letter of credit in the amount of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) from a financial institution. Such notification and letter of credit must be received at the address shown below at least seven (7) days prior to the auction date. That is, the notification and letter of credit must be received by 5:00pm on Thursday, May 24, 2018. Upon receipt and approval, the Special Commissioner of Sale will contact the interested bidder and provide the telephone number to be used for bidding. This sale is subject to confirmation by the Circuit Court of the City of Fredericksburg, Virginia. The balance of the purchase price and the deed recordation costs shall be deposited by the highest bidder with the Special Commissioner of Sale within fifteen (15) days of confirmation of the sale by the Court and the winning bidder will be notified of the same. A buyer’s premium of five percent (5%) of the winning bid price will be added to the final bid to determine final contract price and the buyer’s premium must be paid concurrently with the aforementioned deposit. The deposit and buyer’s premium shall be made in the form of a cashier’s check or other form of certified funds. No cash, personal checks, or credit cards will be accepted. Sealed bids will be permitted if received by the Special Commissioner of Sale at the address shown below at least seven (7) days prior to the auction date. That is, sealed bids must be received by 5:00pm on Thursday, May 24, 2018. Sealed bids must be accompanied by an irrevocable letter of credit from a financial institution, indicating that the bidder has committed available funds in the amount of $100,000 for each auction item in which bids are submitted. Sealed bid envelopes must be delivered to the address shown below and conspicuously labeled with “City of Fredericksburg, CVAS Auction Sealed Bid” and must indicate the specific parcel(s) corresponding to the bid to ensure proper receipt. Bidding will begin at the live auction in the amount of the highest sealed bid which has been timely received. Bidding by telephone will be permitted, at the discretion of the Special Commissioner of Sale, provided that the interested bidder has notified the Special Commissioner of Sale and provided an irrevocable letter of credit in the amount of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) from a financial institution. Such notification and letter of credit must be received at the address shown below at least seven (7) days prior to the auction date. That is, the notification and letter of credit must be received by 5:00pm on Thursday, May 24, 2018.
