MUZZLE LOADERS & FIREARMS: The sale of Joe’s collection consists of 51 lots including guns from makers such as Jacob M Myers, Henry S Groff, Jacob Olenhousen, all of Wayne County, Ohio. Other Ohio makers represented are Peter Reinhard (Loudonville), H. Weaver (Ashland Co.), William H Folger (Belmont), John Caleb Vincent (Washington Co), Levi Biddle (Tuscarawas Co), Adam Stilgenbauer (Winesburg, OH) H.S. Young, Daniel Risher (Stark Co.), Henry Pierce (Lorain Co.), Henry Burns (Preble Co.) plus others. Pennsylvania Makers highlighted by Jacob Garrett, Wm McCullough, and Henry Albright, plus a neat Child’s percussion Muzzleloader w/Ketland lock. These muzzle loaders are beautiful - full and half stock with super inlays. There are also some contemporary guns and few other collectible types including some .22 cal guns, Frank Wesson .38, Marlin 336 30-30, Henry Golden Boy Buckeye State Commemorative, See a full list and pictures at www.res.bid.
ARTIFACTS: There will be a nice collection consisting of 90+ lots of local flint, slate, and stone artifacts. These include stone axes, celts, pestles, slate pendants, gorgets, and banner stones; Iron trader axe; There are also a lot of arrowheads from the Paleo to Late Woodland era including several nicer Archaic and Hopewell points.
