Frank and Elinor Emmick were born in Pennsylvania in the early 1900’s and later moved to New York State with their families.  They met in Elmira and were married in 1938. Frank served in the U.S. Merchant Marine during WWII.  In 1946, he and Elinor started Emmick Motor Co. in Montour Falls. By 1955, they had purchased the large 1926 Keuka Lake home of the Ralph Norris family, which is now for sale.  Elinor, who passed away in 2018 at the age of 101, was an accomplished painter who trained at Syracuse University, R.I.T, Albright School of Fine Arts, and Elmira College.  This auction contains paintings and items- some historic- from both Emmick households, as well as objects and artwork from the historic Fontainebleau Inn (Cayuta, NY), which Frank owned for a time in the 1970’s.
